Job Description Summary

The Data Analytics and Reporting (DAR) team at Enterprise helps more efficiently and effectively achieve our mission by driving the organization’s data strategy, analyzing and reporting on organizational performance, and supporting key programmatic initiatives with data collection. We work within the broader Tech & Data department to strengthen our internal data systems and processes.

We are hiring a Sr. Data Analyst to develop processes to collect key metrics, analyze organizational data, develop dashboards and KPIs for reporting, support compliance reporting, and help deliver value and insights for our organization, business leaders and programmatic initiatives. This role will additionally support Equitable Path Forward, a nationwide initiative to help economically and socially disadvantaged developers gain access to capital and resources.

The Sr. Data Analyst must have proven experience in performance reporting, business intelligence, data collection and processing or data analytics. They must have strong teamwork and communication skills, be excited about learning and problem-solving, and have a passion for social justice.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain business operations and impact dashboards for the organizations’ leadership and Board.
  • Help develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Enterprise programs and initiatives and develop and support processes on ongoing data tracking and performance measurement.
  • Act as the data department’s lead point of contact and support for the Equitable Path Forward (EPF) program. Work with the EPF team to design and optimize data collection processes, administer surveys, develop dynamic dashboards and communicate program impact and performance to stakeholders.
  • Support the EPF Relationship Management team with ad hoc data requests and inquiries.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering to automate, scale and optimize data assets, enabling advanced analyses and high-impact reporting.
  • Help design and implement data collection frameworks to ensure completeness, accuracy, and integrity of reporting.
  • Interpret results and effectively communicate data insights through visualizations, interactive dashboards & maps, and executive reports.
  • Lead the intake and scoping of data requests by engaging stakeholders with clarifying questions; define detailed requirements and deliverables; and manage work progress through Jira for transparency and accountability.
  • Develop expert knowledge of Enterprise business operations and data assets.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews, follow all data privacy & security protocols, and maintain thorough project documentation to support the department’s overall commitment to accuracy and transparency.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience preferred using data to inform strategies, business decisions, and/or policy (Master’s degree equivalent to two years of experience).
  • Educational background in business analytics, business intelligence, performance measurement evaluation, data science, data systems, nonprofit management, or related fields.
  • Proficiency with SQL databases and standard statistical methods and languages, preferably Python.
  • Experience with data visualization and mapping platforms, including PowerBI.
  • Experience visually representing data and producing interactive data tools or reports.
  • Experience in data collection processes and data programming and automation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in translating data for non-technical audiences.
  • Adaptable and collaborative, with experience working with diverse, multi-functional teams, virtually or in-person.
  • Excellent critical thinking and creative problem-solving.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Curiosity, desire for self-improvement, passion for social equity, and excitement about sharing new skills and knowledge.

Additional Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience working in a mission-driven organization.
  • Familiarity with issues in community development, housing policy, urban economics, demographics and/or real estate development.
  • Experience utilizing key public datasets from the U.S. Census Bureau data (ACS, PUMS), U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development data (CHAS, AHS, Picture of Subsidized Households), and others.
  • Experience with Azure cloud data services.
  • Experience with CRM systems (such as Salesforce).

Salary Transparency

You will be joining a team of talented professionals motivated by serving the community and addressing the need for affordable housing.

Enterprise offers a comprehensive total rewards package for you and your family. The pay range for this position is $80,000-$90,000. The salary range represents the low and high end of what may be paid for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range, and compensation decisions may be influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
