Job Description Summary
The Cuyahoga EITC Coalition, led by Enterprise Community Partners, is a community-wide effort to connect low- and moderate-income families to opportunity and income. The Coalition achieves this by leading Cuyahoga County’s largest Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program and supporting asset-building activities that move low- and moderate-income families from financial uncertainty to financial security. The Coalition offers high quality, free tax preparation services at 12 permanent locations and additional community events from January to April each year. The Coalition makes free tax preparation available year-round on a limited basis during May through October. In addition to tax preparation, the Coalition provides referrals to other programs that benefit the health and well-being of working families. The primary focus area for the Coalition is on those who are claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). The EITC is a refundable tax credit that increases the economic stability of low-and-moderate income working families through the provision of tax reductions and wage supplements. The tax credit’s primary purpose is to aid employed workers in achieving and maintaining their independence from government assistance by making work more attractive and for raising low-wage earners out of poverty.
This position is responsible for coordinating volunteer engagement, supporting volunteer training, managing communications, and supporting Coalition operations.
