Job Description Summary
This is a tremendous opportunity for a senior leader who will serve as a critical member of the executive management team of the Solutions Division. Reporting to and in collaboration with the President of Solutions, the Senior Vice President will be responsible for setting and executing the organization’s national strategy in key focus areas and overseeing the design, implementation, and performance of large-scale initiatives. This role translates mission and vision into measurable impact, aligns cross-functional teams around shared priorities, and ensures programs and initiatives deliver consistent results nationwide.The SVP, National Strategies, manages a $20 million budget and leads a 20-person team through four direct reports, each of whom is a people leader with responsibilities for setting strategies related to housing supply, housing access, resiliency, and nonprofit sustainability. The SVP will galvanize internal coalitions that bring diverse teams together around shared goals with cross-institutional design, buy-in, execution and accountability. This role is instrumental in creating a two-way feedback loop between local implementation and national approaches that foster creativity, innovation, and adoption of promising practices while ensuring that national and local efforts do not become siloed. This role requires significant relationships with national funders and the ability to maintain trusted relationships with a diverse set of external partners.
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
-- Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of national strategies and initiatives. Lead a team of people leaders focused on housing supply, housing access, resiliency, and nonprofit sustainability with a focus on testing new ideas and scaling the most promising practices.
--- Set and own institutional strategies that align with Enterprise’s forthcoming strategic plan, ensuring alignment with mission, values, and long-term goals.
Drive a collaborative process that leverages Enterprise’s core capabilities and subject matter expertise from across the organization to establish cohesive strategies to address major barriers to housing affordability, create accountability, and measure impact.
Partner with executive and senior leaders within Solutions and across the organization to align strategy and execution, supporting strong communication flow and guarding against initiatives designed in silos.
Monitor national trends and external development to inform strategy.
-- Launch and lead major cross-cutting initiatives.
Lead a team that has a primary responsibility for convening a cross-set of SMEs to drive major initiatives, advising on opportunities to scale and where to limit investments.
Leverage data, learning agendas, field insights, and other contextual factors to refine approaches. Share learnings internally and externally to advance housing affordability.
-- Build and support coalitions with key external stakeholders that advance organizational priorities and expand reach.
Curate partnerships with national nonprofits, corporations, trade associations, think tanks, and funders that are essential to advancing ECP objectives.
-- Prepare and manage the overall budget of the National Strategies team. Focus on effective management of the portfolio, including financial, impact measurements, and risk monitoring.
Monitor regulatory, economic, political, and competitive risk. Identify new growth opportunities, partnerships, or policy advantages.
-- Represent the organization at the national level with credibility and an executive presence.
-- Work closely with the president and other senior leaders to ensure a culture of integrity and compliance across the organization, while fostering the growth and success of the business.
Qualifications
A minimum of 10+ years of executive level leadership experience overseeing multiple programs or contracts in a nonprofit, government, or philanthropy organization, ideally serving low-income communities.
A minimum of 10 years’ experience managing multiple programs in affordable housing, policy, and/or finance is strongly desired.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Business/Public Administration, Urban Planning, or related field is preferred.
Demonstrated success leading national or multi-region strategies and initiatives, including monitoring performance and leveraging data and outcome insights to shape ongoing and future initiatives.
Demonstrated success managing complex budgets.
Comprehensive working knowledge of program planning, organizational structure, budgeting, and administrative operations.
Experience leading and influencing cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams.
Strong organizational, collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively represent the organization across a broad range of external stakeholders and constituencies.
Experience influencing organizational culture through passion of the organization’s mission and purpose and an ability to communicate this passion and persuasion to others.

Salary Transparency
You will be joining a team of talented professionals motivated by serving the community and addressing the need for affordable housing.
Enterprise offers a comprehensive total rewards package for you and your family. The pay range for this position is $275,000 - $290,000. The salary range represents the low and high end of what may be paid for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range, and compensation decisions may be influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
