Director of Marketing & Communications
Abundance Network
About Abundance Network
Our mission is to organize a new generation of civic leaders to build a 21st-century government. If this resonates with you, we encourage you to learn more at www.abundancenetwork.com.
The Role
Abundance is happening. Abundance Network is building a national movement of local leaders and communities turning the promise of abundance into reality. Now, we need to scale our voice to meet the moment. We are recruiting an executive to own and lead our marketing and communications. The mandate is to grow awareness, trust, and engagement across audiences – from donor members to elected leaders to professional chapters – by telling a bold, clear, and compelling story of what abundance means.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the public narrative of a movement. You will build the communications infrastructure from the ground up, taking us from startup scrappiness to national reach. That means everything from honing our core message and managing our media presence to launching strategic campaigns and overseeing content across channels.
Our team has helped found and build the YIMBY and state capacity movements. We are looking for a leader with a track record of excellence in either (a) the public sector/non-profit space or (b) scaled startups who want to use their experience building and operating teams to scale the Abundance movement.
This leader is creative, strategic, execution-oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity. You bring systems thinking to storytelling and resonate with our values of being humble, curious, and outcomes-focused. This role reports to Giselle Hale, Managing Partner, and will interact regularly with Abundance Network co-founders, program managers, and program participants, including elected officials.
