The Work
The Abundance Elected Network is a nationwide program that builds community and advances abundance policy outcomes by local elected officials via a network, programming, tools, and a fellowship. We are seeking a Program Coordinator to work with the Program Manager and Managing Partner on supporting fall events. This is a six month contract position.
The Role
Abundance Elected is looking for an organized, proactive Program Coordinator to support the events and operations of the elected network. This is a supporting role — you'll work closely with the Program Manager and Managing Partner to support fall events, program applications and selection process, and other support functions for the department. We are a startup and move very quickly; you must be flexible and able to change course quickly, while maintaining a high level of execution.
Key Responsibilities
Member & Fellow Engagement

Support fellow application process and selection.

Handle scheduling and logistics for member events, both in-person and virtual.

Support communication to members and follow-up with members as directed.
Programming & Events

Coordinate speaker scheduling logistics, including calendar coordination with speaker handlers.

Provide technical support of virtual events, including administrative preparation (run of show).

Provide logistical and administrative support for conference planning and program events.

Provide onsite support for in-person events December 8–12.

Work with the Program Manager on the after-event close-out.
Communications
-
Draft internal program communications related to scheduling, upcoming events, and participant updates.

Support the Executive Director and Program Manager in gathering information for member communications and managing the communication schedule.
Operations & Systems

Update project plan process and manage coordination of tasks with team.

Support budget tracking by monitoring expenditures and flagging variances to the Program Manager.

Collect and organize exit ticket and survey data to inform program improvements.
New Programming

Assist in testing and iterating on new program components as directed.

Document learnings, feedback, and outcomes to support program development decisions.
What You Bring
Must haves:
-
5 years of experience in program coordination, operations, or project support and event management—ideally in a nonprofit, advocacy, or civic/government-adjacent environment.

Event coordinator experience, including both planning and onsite execution. Must be able to anticipate event needs onsite and make decisions as needed.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with attention to detail and follow-through in a fast-moving environment.

Comfortable working independently in a virtual environment across multiple time zones.

Strong written communication skills; able to draft clear, professional communications for a range of audiences.

Understanding and experience using Claude LLM.

Experience with relevant tools: Airtable, Google Suite, Canva, WhatsApp, Attio, Asana.

Must be willing to travel for conferences (Washington, D.C. in December).
Nice to haves:

Familiarity with WordPress, ActiveCampaign, or Zapier; exposure to local government, elected office staff, or civic organizations.

Interest in government, policy, and nonprofit work.

Working With Us
This is a six-month contract reporting directly to Giselle Hale, Managing Partner. You'll also collaborate closely with Alicia Ariatti, Program Manager.
We’re a small, fast-moving team that builds programs and infrastructure from the ground up. Everyone on the team is expected to take ownership, move quickly, and stay responsive to the needs of our members. We value humility, curiosity, and an outcomes-focused mindset—and we trust each other to lead.
Compensation
Six month contract: Monthly $5,000–$7,500 depending on experience and agreed upon tasks. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
